A
Little Personal "Stuff"
I
love living in the Portland area. I was born and raised here, except for
spending college time in Denver, Colorado at Colorado Woman's College
and in Eugene, Oregon at the University of Oregon. I find the quality
of life here is a known entity that Oregonians savor passionately and
don't take for granted. It is probably the number one reason that people
living else where think seriously about moving to our area. I have raised
my 3, now grown sons, in this wonderful environment as well.
My oldest son and his wife graduated from the University of Arizona, and
they, along with my absolutely darling first grandchild, also live in
the area. I am so fortunate that they do, as then I get to be "Nonna"
to my most extraordinary grand daughter. Chloe is now 4 1/2 years old
and what a thrill this adventure has been for me...having a grand daughter
after raising my three sons!
My second son graduated
from UC Berkeley and continues to live in San Francisco. I don't mind
him not living here, as San Francisco is absolutely one of my most favorite
cities in the whole world, and I will find any excuse to hop down for
a visit.
My third son graduated from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.
He just recently graduated from the Los Angeles Film School and continues
to live in the LA area while pursuing his passion in the film industry.
I have a four year old Shih-Tzu puppy, Riley, who has an unbelievable
amount of energy, fascination with ANYTHING that moves, and an unquenchable
thirst for adventure. She keeps me laughing constantly. Such fun have
such young and boundless energy around.
In my spare time (do Realtors have spare time?) I travel to 'wherever'
for new sights, smells, sounds and adventures. Since I have spent my life
in and around the Portland area, I feel it is vital for me to see how
other people in our world live. Our amazing planet Earth is home to so
many varied cultures, peoples, sights, smells, and tastes and never in
my lifetime will I even come close to seeing very many of them. It is
important for the way I do life, to get out and see other cultures so
that I might better understand a bit more about the similarities and the
differences we all have. I just returned from Thailand and loved the gentleness
of the Thai people. Some of my other favorite places I have been fortunate
to see at various times in my life, were visiting with extended family
in England; skiing in Zermatt, Switzerland and Cortina, Italy; a fall
adventure visiting friends in Florence, Sienna, and points in-between
and landing at Cinque Terra on the west coast of Italy. Amsterdam, Dusseldorf,
Hong Kong, mainland China, are among my other adventures around the globe.
There are so many, many places I want to see, but unfortunately, never
enough time.
Besides traveling, I thoroughly enjoy playing golf, gardening, walking,
pitch (the card game), cooking and entertaining family and friends, volunteer
work, and of course, I have gobs of fun playing with my grand-daughter!!!
I am so very blessed that my life has been rich with wonderful family,
close and dear friends, great health and a career that I love. My career
has given me the opportunity to meet and get to know and ultimately help
guide extremely enjoyable, delightful and amazing people through the sometimes
challenging processes of 'Changing Directions?' in real estate.
I wish each and every one of you health, happiness, and an extraordinary
rich and fulfilling life. Blessings to each of you.
